Israel blocks Gaza-bound aid trucks at crossing

Hundreds of trucks carrying humanitarian aid to Gaza have been stopped at the Rafah border by Israeli authorities, according to Africanews via AP on October 27th.

Truck drivers say that Israel deliberately blocks access to Gaza, causing the food supplies to spoil as the vehicles wait at the border.

The Rafah border, which links the Gaza Strip to Egypt, is one of two Israeli-controlled crossings from which aid can enter Gaza. Israel has repeatedly blocked trucks delivering life-saving food, water and medical supplies from entering the Strip.
