US says UNRWA will not play a future role in Gaza

The US Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, said that the UN agency for Palestinians (UNRWA) will not play a role in Gaza, alleging the agency is a “subsidiary of Hamas”, according to The Guardian on October 24th.
Rubio, during a press conference which took place in Israel, also said that the country must be satisfied with the international Gaza force’s members.
The secretary of State also stressed that Hamas cannot play any role in governing the Palestinian territory “in the future.” But while efforts to reduce hostilities from the Palestinian side have been made, Israel has continued to trample on the fragile Gaza ceasefire.
