Palestinian journalist killed by Israeli strikes in Gaza

Mohammed Al-Munirawi has become the 256th journalist to be killed by Israeli forces in Gaza, as reported by the Middle East Eye and agencies on October 29th.

According to the Gaza-based Government Media Office, Al-Munirawi was a reporter for Palestine Newspaper; the media office issued a statement that firmly denounced “the systematic targeting, killing, and assassination of Palestinian journalists by the ‘Israeli’ occupation.”

Israel has been repeatedly condemned for its apparent targeting of journalists for assassination in Gaza. It is estimated that more journalists have been killed in Gaza by Israel than in any other armed conflict since the US Civil War.
