US proposes building an Israeli-occupied “new Gaza”
US President Donald Trump unveiled a plan to build a “New Gaza” beyond the yellow line of the Gaza Strip, which is Israeli-occupied, according to the Middle East Eye via The Times of Israel on November 3rd.
The plan was reportedly presented to possible Gulf donor nations. According to two Arab diplomats who are informed on the project “New Gaza” is the term used by US officials to describe the plan.
Israel withdrew to the yellow line on October 10th, although it remains in control of approximately 53% of Gaza.
