US President Donald Trump threatened Nigeria with military action on November 2nd, amid accusations of Christian persecution in the country, as reported by France 24 with AFP on the same day.

He told an AFP reporter onboard Air Force One that he was considering deploying US troops to Nigeria, because the country is “killing the Christians and killing them in very large numbers. We’re not going to allow that to happen.”

In a post on his Truth Social platform on November 1st, Trump claimed to have asked the Pentagon to map out a possible attack in Nigeria. He warned that Christianity was “facing an existential threat” in Nigeria.
