Nigeria denies Christian genocide after Trump’s military threat

US President Donald Trump has threatened to intervene militarily in Nigeria because he deemed that a Christian genocide is ongoing, but Nigeria authorities came forward to deny the claims of an exclusively Christian genocide, according to France 24 via AFP on November 4th.

Jihadist group Boko Haram has been targeting multiple religious groups within the country, and has even taken the lives of Muslim believers and the non-believers in Nigeria.

The Nigerian authorities welcomed international support to curb the violence of terrorist groups, yet it rejected Trump’s pressure and threats to intervene in the country.
