US and Israel deny Jared Kushner met with anti-Hamas official

Washington and Tel Aviv have denied claims by Saudi Arabia’s Al Arabiya channel that US President Donald Trump son-in-law Jared Kushner met with Yasser Abu Shabab, the leader of an anti-Hamas militia, according to the Middle East Monitor on November 12th.

Kushner, who was reportedly in Israel for talks with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, is accused of meeting Abu Shabab, the leader of the Popular Force militia.

The Israeli government has not released a statement in response to the denial, although sources close to the government confirmed the denial from the US. A US official stated: “This report is false. No such meeting took place.”
