Marco Rubio, the US Secretary of State, has urged the international community to cut off weapon supplies to the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in Sudan, according to BBC News and agencies on November 13th.

This call was made towards the end of a G7 foreign ministers meeting in Canada, where Rubio said the RSF had committed numerous atrocities against Sudanese civilians in the city of El-Fasher, including mass killings and using sexual violence as a weapon of war.

On November 3rd, prosecutors at the International Criminal Court (ICC) issued a statement that said atrocities committed in El-Fasher by the RSF may amount to war crimes.
