Israel blocks West Bank village ahead of olive harvest
The Israeli army has declared the village of Burin, located in the northern Occupied West Bank, a closed military zone, according to the Middle East Eye via Haaretz on November 14th.
The announcement came just hours before hundreds of Israeli activists were scheduled to participate in the annual olive harvest in the village, as buses carrying activists to the village were reportedly stopped by the police.
It was reported on November 13th, that Aysam Muallam, a 13-year-old Palestinian boy, died from injuries he sustained when Israeli forces attacked olive harvesters in the Jabal Qamas area of Beita last month.
