42 migrants suspected dead in shipwreck off Libya’s coast
A rubber boat carrying 49 migrants capsized after departing from Libya while travelling through one of the world’s deadliest migration corridors, Maghrebi Week wrote on 17th November.
Of the 49 who were on the boat capsized by high waves, seven managed to be rescued after being found adrift at sea for several days.
Meanwhile, 42 migrants were still missing and feared dead by the UN. Those missing were comprised of twenty-nine Sudanese, eight Somalians, three Cameroonians and two Nigerians.
