UK: trial of 6 pro-Palestine activists opens

The trial of 6 activists who were reportedly from the proscribed group Palestine Action, now classed as a “terrorist” association, has opened in London, reports Reuters on November 18th.

They are accused of criminal damages, violent disorder and burglary after attacking an Elbit Systems facility in Bristol, in the UK, in August 2024.

Elbit is Israel’s leading military and defence contractor and provides the majority of equipment used by Israeli forces; it is suspected of producing weapons used against civilians in Gaza.
