Israel accused of war crimes by watchdog
Israel’s forced displacement of Palestinians in the Occupied West Bank constitutes war crimes and crimes against humanity, says a Human Rights Watch (HRW) report on November 20th, according to the Middle East Eye and agencies.
An estimated 32,000 people have been forcibly displaced from their homes in the territory between January and February; Israeli settlers have used bulldozers to set up and expand illegal settlement outposts in the West Bank.
In July, the UN declared that the displacement of Palestinians in the West Bank had reached its worst levels since 1967, when the territory was captured by Israel during the Six-Day War.
