Israeli ministers to aid ceasefire implementation in Gaza

Israel’s National Security Minister, Itamar Ben-Gvir, and Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich are reportedly joining the ministerial team tasked with implementing the second phase of the US-backed Gaza ceasefire, according to Middle East Eye and agencies on November 21st.

According to the Israeli Broadcasting Corporation, Ben-Gvir and Smotrich will be joined by Foreign Minister Gideon Saar, who previously lobbied 250 US lawmakers to promote legislation opposing the boycott of Israeli goods.

It was reported on June 11th, that Ben-Gvir and Smotrich were sanctioned by the UK government over their blatant contempt for Palestinian life.
