Housing plan for Israeli-occupied Gaza confirmed by US official
A senior US official has confirmed a plan to build housing for thousands of “screened” Palestinians in the Israeli-occupied Gaza Strip, according to the Middle East Eye via The New York Times on November 26th.
The housing compound would be built behind the “yellow line“, which splits the enclave in two, with one part under Israeli control.
Israel’s war on Gaza has led to nearly 1.9 million (or almost 90%) of the enclave’s population being displaced, with many forced to live in tents, which are deemed unsuitable for human habitation.
