West Bank: New Israeli settler outpost set up
A new Israeli settler outpost has been established on Palestinian land in the town of Jamma’in, south of Nablus within the Occupied West Bank, according to the Middle East Eye and agencies on November 27th.
This outpost is likely part of an ongoing campaign to establish and expand Jewish-only settlements across the occupied Palestinian territories, where an estimated 700,000 Israeli settlers live in roughly 160 settlements.
Since 2022, Israeli authorities have confiscated over 113,000 dunams (113 square kilometres) of land and demolished more than 950 Palestinian homes.
