The Israeli army has announced it had killed Raed Saad, Hamas senior leader in charge of weapons production, in a Gaza strike, report Asharq al-Awsat and agencies on 13th December.

Civil services in Gaza confirmed that an Israeli strike on a car had killed five people and injured over 25 in Tel el-Hawa, south of Gaza city, and family sources reportedly confirmed Saad’s death to AFP.

The Israeli government had accused Saad of being “one of the architects” of the attack on 7th October 2023, and stated his assassination was “in response to the detonation of a Hamas explosive device” which had wounded two soldiers earlier.
