Over 500,000 Palestinians lose jobs since start of Gaza war
Over 500,000 Palestinians within the occupied West Bank and Gaza have seen their employment disappear since the beginning of the Gaza war in October 2023, Middle East Eye via Anadolu Agency reported on December 20th.
The blocking of aid, closures of the workplace and daily military raids have left many Palestinians unable to support themselves, according to The Palestinian General Federation of Trade Unions.
They estimated that Palestinian workers have lost over $9 billion USD since the beginning of the war, mainly due to difficulties reaching their workplace and the demolition of various sectors.
