Over 120 Israeli settlers storm occupied Jerusalem mosque

Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem has been stormed by more than 120 Israeli settlers and students, according to the Middle East Eye via Arab48 as well as Palestinian media on December 24th.

Al-Aqsa is considered one of the holiest Islamic sites. Israeli settlers, often under police and army protection, storm into the mosque to perform Talmudic rituals and prayers, which violates the mosque’s status quo.

Arab48 reported that among the settlers involved in the December 24th incursion, there were around 18 members of Israeli intelligence, while the police also barged into the mosque.
