Moroccan party denounces US capture of Venezuelan leader
The political bureau of the Party of Progress and Socialism (PPS) has condemned the capture of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, according to a report in Moroccan government-friendly outlet Yabiladi on January 4th.
Labelling the arrest as “American imperialist aggression against Venezuela” in a statement, the party expressed “unwavering solidarity with the Venezuelan people, to assert their inalienable and sovereign right to self-determination … free from foreign interference.”
The political party called on the international community and all nations committed to peace and justice to “take urgent action and fulfil their historical and moral responsibilities,” while denouncing the capture of the president and his wife.
