Israel to remain in control of much of Gaza

US President Donald Trump’s Gaza ceasefire deal could leave Israel in control of more than half of the Gaza Strip, according to a report by the BBC on October 21st.

Under the plans, the Israeli military withdrew from Gaza to the “yellow line“, although there is no clear timeframe for when Israel is expected to withdraw further.

The Israeli newspaper, Yedioth Ahronoth, described the yellow line as “effectively the new border” between Israel and Gaza.
