On October 28th, reports on Sudan’s southern city of El-Fasher came out regarding the troubling bloodshed that followed after the RSF paramilitary group took control of the city, adding to the terrible violence witnessed in Sudan’s civil war, according to France 24 via AFP.

Less than 2 days after their seizure, allies of the Sudanese army revealed that the RSF killed 2,000 civilians, with non-Arab groups being the primary targets while attacks were also carried out on health facilities and humanitarian aid workers.

The UN credited that the reports showed concerning evidence of civilians being heavily targeted and of sexual violence against women and girls, while Yale’s University Humanitarian Research Lab said evidence of  “systematic mass killings” could be viewed from space.
