Israeli troop movement sparks Lebanese army mobilisation
The Lebanese army has mobilised its troops in the town of Meiss El-Jabal in south Lebanon, after Israeli military movements took place near the border, as reported by the Middle East Eye and agencies on November 3rd.
On October 30th, Lebanon’s President Joseph Aoun ordered the army to confront any Israeli military incursions into southern Lebanon.
Despite the November 2024 ceasefire, which stipulated Israel’s withdrawal from the territory, Israel has maintained a military presence in the area.
