Israel: Knesset to vote on execution bill for prisoners
The Israeli Knesset’s National Security Committee is set to vote on a bill that proposes allowing the execution of Palestinian prisoners, as reported by the Middle East Eye and agencies on November 3rd.
A key advocate for the bill, which would impose the death penalty, is Itamar Ben-Gvir, Israel’s right-wing National Security Minister.
It was reported on October 24th, that footage of Ben-Gvir emerged, in which he was filmed standing in front of a cell containing shackled Palestinian detainees. He said on camera that Palestinian detainees “deserve a death penalty law.”
