Algerian man hailed as hero after saving lives in UK attack
On November 4th, Samir Zitouni, an Algerian railway worker, was hailed as a hero for stepping in to defend people during the mass stabbing train attack that took place in Cambridgeshire, UK on November 1st, according to the Guardian.
The heroic Algerian man is in a critical but stable condition, as he suffered from multiple severe injuries following his confrontation with the attacker, Anthony Williams who was charged with 11 counts of attempted murder for both attacks he perpetrated in Cambridgeshire and London on November 1st.
The Transport Minister Heidi Alexander recognised the Algerian man’s sacrifice, and thanked him for his heroic actions and bravery that helped to save the lives of many lives
