The European Investment Bank (EIB) has been accused of complicity in Israeli war crimes by the Hind Rajab Foundation (HRF), with the allegation now reaching an official assessment stage, according to the Middle East Eye and agencies on November 5th.

HRF filed the complaint on June 20th, which urged the EIB to suspend and investigate over $1 billion of investments with ties to Israeli companies blacklisted by the United Nations over involvement in illegal settlements, such as Bank Leumi and Electra.

HRF stated: “This development is not merely procedural – it is a political and legal milestone, signaling that a European institution is being forced to reckon with its complicity in grave breaches of international law.”
