US presents resolution for Gaza transitional administration
The US Ambassador to the UN Mike Waltz has shared a draft resolution to the UN Security Council and its regional partners, outlining plans for a transitional governing body in Gaza, according to The National and agencies on November 6th.
The document, “welcomes the establishment of the Board of Peace”, which would receive a two-year mandate to manage funding and oversee the redevelopment of Gaza.
It would also supervise an “apolitical committee of competent Palestinians” responsible for the activities of the administration and civil service.
