The Israeli military has announced the reopening of the Zikim Crossing in northern Gaza to allow humanitarian aid lorries to enter the enclave, according to Asharq Al-Awsat via Reuters on November 12th.

According to the UN humanitarian office (OCHA), the crossing had been closed since September 12th, and aid groups were unable to import supplies into the Gaza Strip.

Israeli authorities have repeatedly blocked aid trucks from entering the enclave, including via the Rafah border, leaving food supplies to spoil as the vehicles were stuck at the border.
