Israeli forces have launched strikes in northern Gaza as the Zikim Crossing was reopened, as reported by The New Arab and agencies on November 12th.

The crossing was reopened to allow trucks carrying humanitarian aid to enter the Gaza Strip, according to a statement from COGAT, the Israeli military wing responsible for overseeing the flow of aid.

Gaza’s government media office has reported that Israel had violated the ceasefire deal nearly 200 times since it came into effect on October 10th; violations included the blocking of humanitarian aid.
