Lebanon: 13 killed in Israeli airstrike on refugee camp
An Israeli airstrike has killed 13 people after it reportedly targeted the Ain al-Hilweh Palestinian refugee camp near Sidon in Lebanon, according to the Middle East Eye and agencies citing Lebanese authorities on November 18th.
But Israel has claimed that the strike hit a Hamas facility. The claim has been rejected by Hamas officials in a statement as “pure fabrication” used to justify Israeli “criminal aggression.”
Israel has been increasing its military operations in southern Lebanon, in violation of the November 2024 ceasefire between the country and Hezbollah.
