US will sell fighter jets to Saudi Arabia, says Trump
US President Donald Trump confirmed that the US would sell F-35 fighter jets to Saudi Arabia, according to the BBC and agencies on November 18th.
Ahead of the meeting with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Trump said “we will be selling F-35 jets,” adding that Saudi Arabia has been a “great ally.”
US policy has historically restricted the sale of fifth-generation jets, but Morocco has sought to become the first Arab and African country to acquire F-35 fighter jets.
