Israeli PM urges for removing “extremism” of Gazans
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has called for removing the “extremism from the people of Gaza” if Hamas is not dealt with, according to the Middle East Eye via Al Jazeera Arabic on December 3rd.
Speaking about the destiny of the Gaza Strip, Netanyahu insisted that, “Hamas cannot remain in Gaza, and eliminating it will be either through an international force or the hard way.”
It was reported on November 10th that a poll found that around 70% of Palestinians oppose the disarmament of Hamas, with opposition being highest in the West Bank, where Palestinian residents face escalating Israeli violence.
