Israeli arms used in Thailand-Cambodia clashes
Arms manufactured by Israel have reportedly been used by Thailand’s armed forces as part of the nation’s border war with Cambodia, as reported by The New Arab via Haaretz on December 17th.
Thailand has purchased a variety of weapons from Israeli companies, such as Rafael’s Spike MR anti-tank missiles and a rocket artillery system built in collaboration with Elbit Systems, one of Israel’s largest defence contractors.
On December 4th, Thailand announced its purchase of the Barak MX air defence system from Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI). This is despite concerns that these defence contractors are complicit in illegal Israeli activity in the Occupied Palestinian territories.
