Morocco to set to surpass Egypt as Africa’s most visited country
Morocco is on track to set new tourism records this year an is poised to become Africa’s most visited destination, surpassing Egypt, according to RFI on December 14th.
Morocco had already welcomed nearly 16 million tourists by November, a 20% increase from the same period the previous year, with French nationals remaining the largest group of foreign tourists, followed by Brits.
Moroccan authorities are hopeful about reaching a new milestone next year, aiming for 17.5 million visitors.
