General Mohammed Berrid, inspector general of Morocco’s royal armed forces, held talks with Central African armed forces chief of staff, general Zephirin Mamadou, on January 20th to discuss strengthening military cooperation between the two countries, reported Middle East Monitor.
The royal armed forces’ general command said the two officials discussed in a meeting in Rabat “various key areas of bilateral military cooperation, particularly training initiatives and the exchange of visits.”
Morocco’s army has been part of the peacekeeping operation in the Central African Republic, as a participating in the MINUSCA, since 2014, with a force of 750 soldiers.
