Libya protestors disrupt oil loading operations
Protesters stopped a tanker from loading oil on January 28th at major oil producer Es Sidra port in Libya, two engineers from the facility told Reuters.
The protestors said in a a statement addressed to the national oil corporation that they demand the relocation of a number of oil company headquarters to the oil crescent region.
They reiterated that they were calling for fair development of their region to improve living conditions. Previous protests have disrupted oil operations. Last January they forced a shutdown of production at the Sharara oilfield, also in Libya.
