Six arrested in France after migrant bodies found on beach

Six people have been arrested by authorities in France after the bodies of two migrants were found on beach in the country’s north following a failed attempt to cross the Channel to reach Britain, French prosecutors said February 10th according to RFI.

 Following a record year for deaths in the Channel, attempts o cross it have continued in the middle of winter despite the sometimes freezing temperatures.

The six people who have been arrested are aged between 19 and 50 and are of Afghan, Sudanese and Iranian nationality, stated the Boulogne-sur-Mer prosecutor’s office.
