Morocco: Drug smuggling tunnel found below Spanish enclave

Spanish police have discovered a drug smuggling tunnel running from Morocco into the Spanish enclave of Ceuta as part of a crackdown on the illegal trade of hashish.
According to Arab News on February 19th, the underground passage, at least 50 meters long and 12 meters deep, was found during Operation Hades, which has resulted in 14 arrests and the seizure of 6,000 kilos of hashish.
The finding comes after Spain’s National Police arrested three key players in drug smuggling on the Costa del Sol, including a police officer and his brother, a major step forward in breaking up the drug networks of Ceuta, reported by Sur In English
