Foreign minister of Algeria Ahmed Attaf discussed Palestine with his Spanish counterpart Jose Manuel Albares on February 21st and highlighted the need for a “just and permanent settlement” based on the two-state solution, reported Middle East Monitor.
A statement by the Algerian Foreign Ministry says Attaf and Albares met on the sidelines of the second day of the G20 meetings in Johannesburg, capital of South Africa.
Albares renewed his thanks to Algiers for their “effective” contribution to the release of Spanish citizen Navarro Canada Joaquim back in January after he was kidnapped by an armed gang in Southern Algeria that took him to northern Mali after the abduction.
