The Pan-African Parliament (PAP) has condemned any plan for the forced displacement of Palestinians from their land and adopted a decision expressing solidarity with the Republic of South Africa rejecting pressure attempts and sanctions threats against the nation, the Council of the Nation (the upper house of Parliament) said, according to AL 24 on February 24th.

President Chief Fortune Charumbira of the PAP said during his speech at the session’s opening on Monday in Midrand (South Africa) that ‘this year’s meetings of the continental body are taking place under the African Union (AU) 2025 theme: Justice for Africans and People of African Descent Through Reparations.’

This theme ‘aims to remind us and invite us to work together to acknowledge the deep injustice endured by Africans and their descendants because of slavery, colonisation and economic exploitation, as well as all the structural inequalities that persist to this day,” he noted.
