French Senate Speaker calls for France-Morocco Partnership in Sahara

On February 25th, speaker of the French Senate Gérard Larcher visited Morocco’s southern provinces, to discuss the strengthening of relations between France and Morocco.
According to MedaFrica, the talks also focused on cooperation between the two countries on the development of the Sahara region.
Larcher said France and Morocco will be cooperating on: “economic development in the region, renewable energies, infrastructure, transport and water management.”
