Zelensky and Trump agree US-Ukraine minerals deal

Ukraine has agreed to a deal with the US for the rights to its mineral wealth following Donald Trump backing down on his most extreme demands, reported The Telegraph on February 25th.
Ukraine’s president Zelensky is set to sign the deal in Washington DC as early as February 28th, ending his dispute with president Trump over the terms of the deal.
The draft deal doesn’t involve Ukraine committing to use the profits from its natural resources to repay the United States up to $500bn, which was a major demand of president Trump who has said that the US “got nothing back” from its support of Ukraine during the war.
