Egypt says Gaza reconstruction plan is ready
The foreign minister of Egypt Badr Abdelatty said on March 2nd that Cairo’s Gaza reconstruction plan, which ensures Palestinians are not displaced from the enclave, is ready and will be presented to the emergency Arab summit on March 4th, reported Reuters.
Trump’s plan, announced on February 4th during the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas in Gaza, involved the US taking control of Gaza and resettling Palestinians.
Abdelatty says the counter-reconstruction plan presented by Cairo will not be solely Egyptian or Arab but will have international support and funding to ensure its implementation is a success.
