WFP pauses food distribution in Sudanese refugee camp

The World Food Program suspended their operations in Sudan due to violent clashes between Sudan’s army and the paramilitary RSF.
According to Middle East Monitor on February 28th, fighting in the Zamzam camp near North Darfur forced the program to temporarily pause its provision of food for refugees in the region.
Over 2 million people are currently estimated to be experiencing famine.
