Financial expert Mark Carney has won the race to become Canadian Prime Minister as Canada sets off to face a tariff war with Trump’s America.

According to the Guardian, the new PM won 85.9% of the vote, becoming the new leader of the Federal Liberal party. The polls have also swung in favour of the party in recent days as Trump threatens to annex Canada and a trade war looms on the horizon.

Carney comes in as the calm, collected banker who can deal with the threat of the tariff king Donald Trump. He explained that he will keep tariffs on America until they “show us (Canada) respect.”
