Russia faces largest drone attack since Ukraine war began

Russia has faced the largest drone attack on Russian territory since the war with Ukraine began in 2022. The attack targeting multiple regions overnight including the Moscow region, where one person was killed.
AL24 reported on March 11th that the assault came hours before scheduled talks in Saudi Arabia between representatives from Ukraine and the United States and amid the deterioration in relations between Ukrainian President Zelenskyy and US President Trump.
Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin described the assault as “the largest hostile drone attack on Moscow.” Moscow itself has rarely been targeted directly, making this latest attack a significant escalation in the war.
