Russia list’s set of demands for peace with Ukraine

In response to a potential ceasefire agreement, Russia has outlined a set of terms that it says must be met before it ends its war against Ukraine.
As reported by Atalayar, Russia presented these terms directly to the US, stating that if all were agreed upon, it would immediately cease hostiles in the region.
While the exact details of these terms remain unknown, they appear to align with Russia’s previous demands for any kind of peace deal or ceasefire. Among them are a signed agreement forbidding Ukraine from joining NATO in the future, as well as international recognition of the regions Russia has annexed, such as Crimea.
Russia’s insistence on preventing Ukraine from joining NATO reflects its long -standing foreign policy aimed at curbing Western military expansion in Europe and protecting its own declining sphere of influence.
These demands come amid complex peace negotiations being mediated by the US between Ukraine and Russia, with significant differences in opinion over what a peace deal should look like.
There are also concerns that Russia may be using the talks as a staling tactic, buying time to restock its troops and strengthen its position in Ukraine.
Despite this, President Trump and his administration have expressed optimism that a ceasefire agreement could be reached. This sentiment is shared by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky who stated that “Ukraine is ready for peace” and that Russian must now demonstrate its commitment to it as well.
The international community is closely watching the outcome of these negotiations , as they are likely to have a major impact on global politics and could potentially lead to a restoration of relations between Russia and the West, helping to ease economic tensions worldwide.
