Somalia and breakaway region Somaliland have not received any US proposals concerning the resettlement of Palestinians, said the foreign ministers of both countries.

According to Middle East Monitor on March 13th, US and Israeli officials said they contacted Sudan, Somalia and Somaliland, asking to use their land to resettle Palestinians from Gaza.

Ahmed Moalim Fiqi, Somalia’s foreign minister, said the country will outright reject “any proposal or initiative, from any party, that would undermine the Palestinian people’s right to live peacefully on their ancestral land.”
