Egypt has made clear its commitment to the unity of Sudan amid an attempt by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia to form a parallel government and divide the country.

Egyptian foreign minister Badr Abdelatty, speaking to Al Sharq News late on March 14th, expressed Cairo’s “unwavering support for Sudan’s national institutions,” reported Anadolu Ajansi.

“We are deeply concerned about Sudan’s unity, its stability, and the integrity of its territories. This is a red line for us, and we cannot accept it under any circumstances,” he stated.
