Pope Francis has died, the Vatican announced

Pope Francis has died at the age of 88, the Vatican has announced, after his final address on Easter Sunday, April 20th.
“Dearest brothers and sisters, with deep sorrow I must announce the death of our Holy Father Francis… His entire life was dedicated to the service of the Lord and of his church,” Cardinal Kevin Farrell announced.
Reported by Middle East Eye, Pope Francis delivered his final speech from the balcony of Sr Peter’s Basilica in which the Pope condemned the “deplorable humanitarian situation” in Gaza. The Pope has been a vocal supporter of the Palestinian people.
