Tunisia reportedly sets fire to migrant camps

Authorities in Tunisia have reportedly set about burning migrant camps in the central eastern regions of the country, according to Middle East Monitor on April 25th.
A spokesperson for the National Guard, Houssem Eddine Jebabli, stated that roughly 2,500 undocumented individuals were removed from sites in Hanshir Al-Qarqani, in the Al-Amra area.
Jebali told press that: “The state’s strategy is for Tunisia not to be a destination or transit point for irregular migrants.”
